Perfect Saturday

Quality walking with Daughter this morning, quality lunch with both Daughter & Husband at Wimpy then quality time in the garden all afternoon! Great day :-)

Our walk took us from Jo's abode along the Brighton Road to the edge of Wyvale Garden Centre where we turned off to follow the footpath across the strawberry fields to Coxes Lock. from there we followed the Wey Navigation Canal towards Weybridge and headed for Wey Meadows:

Lovely, chatty walk cross-country to the White Hart Lock then back along the canal to Addlestone for delicious chicken salad at the Wimpy:

Home to a bit more exercise (of the bending variety) in the garden:

And now dinner! Just waiting for the lasagne in the oven to be ready :o)

RULES - these are my rules. They work for me and I try not to break them.

1. All food eaten must be delicious and enjoyable because eating is not a punishment.
2. No chocolate in any form will be eaten
(This is because I cannot taste chocolate without wanting more. I cannot ration chocolate; it is impossible to eat one chunk of a chunky bar because the whole thing is there to be eaten. I cannot eat ANYTHING flavoured or containing the tiniest flakes of chocolate (even yogurts!) because that gives my taste buds the signal to crave more and I really don't want to give myself the negative feelings that come with calculating the small amount allowed for a very fleeting pleasure or the even worse feelings of disappointment and guilt when the craving is rewarded with abandonment)
3. No biscuits, cakes, high calorie desserts, etc
4. Wine to be drunk only on social occasions
5. Aim to walk at least 3 days/week for as far as possible. Walk not drive whenever possible.
6. (Very Important) Go to Group meetings EVERY week.
